Your experienced service department at Todd's Heating is the best resource for identifying and supplying the correct, current parts for your system, as well as installation. For availability Call Todd 345-4115.
Why can't I find the correct size furnace filter at my local home improvement store?
Home improvement stores carry only the basic sizes, contact our shop. We can get a very wide variety at very competitive prices. Also, remember some filters are reusable, and can be washed by hand in cold water.
I need help troubleshooting a problem with my equipment.
Todd's Heating and Cooling is your troubleshooting expert, and is glad to help you. In addition, we have access to a network of troubleshooting technicians at distribution centers across the country.
Where can I find literature about the HVAC products in my home or that I am considering purchasing, such as owners manuals, installation guides and product specifications?
Most manufacturers have a section on their web site that has complete information with downloadable manuals and guides. Just use the search tool on your computer to help locate it or contact a representative of Todd's and they will be happy to assist you.
Which equipment will best fit my home?
There are many factors that affect the sizing and specifications of your system including; square footage, insulation, window surface, duct sizing and location, geographic location of your home and many others. A representative of Todd's can perform an in-home load analysis to determine which equipment combinations will perfectly suit your home and your family's needs.
What does my warranty cover?
Under the standard factory warranty, parts that fail during the warranty period due to defect in the part. The warranty does not cover labor. Todd's warranties the labor on installed equipment for one year. Additional extended warranties are available through most manufactures for both labor and parts.
How much will a new system cost?
Until an accurate assessment is made of your location it is hard to give an accurate price. On a site inspection, code changes, efficiency upgrades and location can be used to figure cost options for you to consider.
What is SEER and how is it rated?
Each split system cooling unit has a nominal SEER rating. This rating can be increased with the upgrade of the indoor unit. We, at Todd's have access to the equipment specifications and can provide you with the actual combination rating for your system.
What is the life expectancy of my unit?
For your specific equipment, there are many variables that affect life expectancy, especially regular routine maintenance. Contact Todd's service department for an insight into the remaining lifespan of your system with preventative maintenance program.
What is R-22 and is it still available?
R-22 is the refrigerant used in heating and cooling systems for several decades. In 2010, the government is going to start a systematic phase out of R-22. The new refrigerant that is going to replace R-22 is Puron (R-410A). It is already available in most every application so you will be already set when the phase out starts.
